Assembly Technician
JOB SUMMARY:
Build, assemble, test, and use QC electronic and mechanical components for life science, metabolic, and environmental research instrumentation. The position applies knowledge of electronics and mechanical principles while building equipment. The assembly technician provides skilled mechanical and electronic support to all manufacturing areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform system electrical and pneumatic testing following applicable documentation to validate the complete system function.
- Confirm the system complies with the build document; perform Quality Control checks and document QC process.
- Implement technical assembly and assembly of front and rear panel components, shelves, and electronic boxes.
- Use basic hand and machine tools to assemble electromechanical parts, multimeters to test cables and low-voltage signals, and soldering irons to assemble cables and PCBs (through-hole and surface mount).
- Pack orders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Understanding of electronics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Electronic testing and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow wiring, pneumatic, and system diagrams.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years’ experience as an Assembly Technician.
- Electronic or Specialized Technical Education is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move 50 pounds.
